Yes. For example: "Tegnap összeült az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsa megvitatni a Líbiában kialakult helyzetet." , so "összeül" means "ülést tart".

You wrote here a few very hard words, a few of them I didnt know in English, and had to check them in the dictionary! I will give you example sentences too. What are you reading??? :-)

föltétlenül / feltétlenül – “unconditionally” “by all mean”, from “feltétel” meaning “condition”

Feltétlenül nézd meg a tévében a ma esti híreket!
By all means watch the today evening news on the television!

elszántan – “decidedly”, adverb from adjective and adjectival participle “elszánt” formed from verb “elszán” meaning “decide”

A kutyám elszántan küzd egy hatalmas csonttal.
My dog is decidedly struggling with a huge bone.

összegszerűség – “as a sum” “as an amont”

A bíróság még nem döntött a kár összegszerűségét illetően.
The jury hasn’t decide yet about the amount (of the value) of the harm.

eltengődik - “vegetate”

Munkanélküli lettem, nem tudom miből fogok megélni, de majd csak eltengődöm valahogy.
I became jobless, I don’t know how I will subsist, but I will vegetate somehow.

szenvelgő – “effusive”

Nem szeretem a szenvelgő filmeket, mert szinte mindig hamisak.
I don’t like effusive movies, because they are almost always false.

kivirul – “blossom”

A bortól kivirult az arcom.
From the wine my face blossomed.

mindegyre – “constantly”, but this is a little bit archaic

Manapság mindegyre szóba kerül a hírekben a líbiai helyzet.
Nowadays in the news there is constantly something about the situation in Libya.

elkedvetlenit – “discourage” from “kedv” meaning “spirit”

Nagyon elkedvetlenített a rossz kritika, amit olvastam erről a filmről.
I have been discouraged by the bad critics, that I have just read about this movie.

eseményszerűen – “as an event” or “as an episode”, from “esemény” meaning occurrence, event

A kamion útinaplóját eseményszerűen kell vezetni, mert különben a rendőr megbüntet.
The road register of the truck should be administered on base of the events, otherwise the policeman could fine you.

hívogatóan – “callingly, invitingly” from adjectival participle “hívogató”
Az étteremben nagyon hívogatóan nézett rám a tojássaláta.
In the restaurant the egg salad was looking at me very invitingly.

elsőrendűen – primarily, from adjective “elsőrendű” meaning primary, first class

A billiárdban elsőrendűen fontos az asztal stabilitása és vízszintessége.
In billiard the stability and horizontality of the table is of primary importance.

kandük – sorry, but I don’t know this word… plz give me the whole sentence

eligazit – “give directions, orientation”
Tegnap a pályaudvaron eligazítottam egy külföldi turistát.
Yesterday I gave direction to a foreign tourist at the railway station.

Hribecek, plz correct my English translations!

föltétlenül / feltétlenül – “unconditionally” “by all means”, from “feltétel” meaning “condition”

Feltétlenül nézd meg a tévében a ma esti híreket!
By all means watch this evening's news on the television!

elszántan – “decidedly”, adverb from adjective and adjectival participle “elszánt” formed from verb “elszán” meaning “decide”

This is okay in English grammatically and with the meaning but we wouldn't use this word in this context. Decidedly is a bit archaic and usually found in literature. I'd say simply 'really' in the sentence with the dog.

összegszerűség – “as a sum” “as an amont”

A bíróság még nem döntött a kár összegszerűségét illetően.
The jury hasn’t decide yet about the cost/amount of the damages.

I don't understand the Hungarian here, my correction means that this is the price somebody will pay for the offense. ??

eltengődik - “vegetate”

Munkanélküli lettem, nem tudom miből fogok megélni, de majd csak eltengődöm valahogy.
I became jobless, I don’t know how I will subsist, but I will vegetate somehow.

This sounds funny because vegetate means like to lie around and do nothing. Without knowing the Hungarian, I'd say it should be 'but I will get by somehow.'

szenvelgő – “effusive” Effusive is not very common, I'd use 'emotional', but effusive is fine as a more intellectual choice!

Nem szeretem a szenvelgő filmeket, mert szinte mindig hamisak.
I don’t like effusive movies, because they are almost always false.

kivirul – “blossom”

A bortól kivirult az arcom.
From the wine my face blossomed.Blossom is mainly used for flowers, not for faces. In this sentence I'd say 'my face went red from the wine'. Blossom might be the correct word too for kivirul if it is also used for flowers?

mindegyre – “constantly”, but this is a little bit archaic

Manapság mindegyre szóba kerül a hírekben a líbiai helyzet.
Nowadays in the news there is constantly something about the situation in Libya.

elkedvetlenit – “discourage” from “kedv” meaning “spirit”

Nagyon elkedvetlenített a rossz kritika, amit olvastam erről a filmről.
I have been discouraged by the bad reviews that I have just read about this movie.

eseményszerűen – “as an event” or “as an episode”, from “esemény” meaning occurrence, event

A kamion útinaplóját eseményszerűen kell vezetni, mert különben a rendőr megbüntet.
The road register of the truck should be administered on base of the events, otherwise the policeman could fine you.
I don't quite understand the first part of this sentence, maybe 'The truck should have road registration...' ??

hívogatóan – “callingly, invitingly” from adjectival participle “hívogató”
Az étteremben nagyon hívógatóan nézett rám a tojássaláta.

Yes, in Hungarian it is the same. It is used mainly for flowers. But also can be used in a figurative sense.

No. I wanted to say the register that is compulsory for international trucks, they have tachometers and other registers, you know.

You mean speedometers for tachometers (same word in Czech). I don't know about this register though, cars and truck regulations are like another language for me. I've never even owned a car in my life.

I'd still say that 'on base of events' doesn't make sense in this sentence though. Maybe I'm being stupid (it's very common!) but I don't know what you mean by that.

An example of the meaning of 'on the base of events' -

On the base of events we have just witnessed with the tsunami, we are going to invest many millions on a new early warning system.

I wanted to say: the register should be administered on base of the REAL events, without false data. eseményszerűen - az eseményeknek megfelelően

Or "szia, fiúk" for 1 person, or "sziasztok, fiúk" for more persons. I know this is very strange, but "szia" behaves as a verb in this case... but it has only 2nd person, plural...
