Hogy tetszik Magyarorzág / Budapest ? Kaptod a linkem ? (www.pestiest.hu). Rémelem, azt így volt :) Fogok menni két hét Magyarországra - nagyon örülök ! The "s" is the same as "és" and are used interchangeably. But this form is more used on the romania side of Hungary... and I heard that it sound poetic :). I am right, Maxval ? Have a nice day both ! Igen, köszönöm a linket! Azt kaptam és azt olvasom, de egy kicsit nehéz, mert magyar nyelvben. Találtam jó zenet Budapesten linked miatt! Magyar emberek és Budapest nagyon tetszik, most ott kívánok lenni, de sajnos nem lehet. Ode megyek ebben nyárban, de nem akarok várni! Fogok írni mást időmről Budapesten, egy hosszű torténetet írok. Nagyon jó hogy két hét Magyarországra fogsz menni. Rémelem, hogy ott fogsz beszélni sok magyarul! Hribecek ps. Nem itlom (I didn't drink?) kisfröccs, mert egy kicsit drága és nem láttam azt. Szia ! Igen, rémelen, hogy ott fogom beszélni magyarul. Az anyája (a barátom)csak egy kicsit németül beszél, így fogom sok beszélni :) Inni is irregular and I don't remember right now what the past tense form was. But i think it's "kisfröccsöt". Word "és" is never used in the Székely dialect of Hungarian, always "s" is used. In other Hungarian dialects both are used, while "s" is considered higher style. Some people use "s" only in writing. Do not confound "Székely" with "Hungarian spoken in Romania", they are not the same. Only about half of the Hungarian speakers in Romania speak Székely dialect! The only exception is the Csángó dialect that is hard to understand even for a native speaker. In all other dialects there is a very big dialect levelling, there are only minor differences between them. Not like with German or English where you can find very big differences. The language of Budapest plays so much role that dialects are almost dead. The other problem in Hungarian is sociological. Unlike in German, English or Spanish, the average Hungarian considers any dialectal speaking a sign of lack of culture! Szia Maxval !
I wanted to say the Székely and the region of Hungary that are near Romania (and not the people speaking Hungarian in Romania). However, I have a question. What's "szikla" ? I had this word stuck in my mind and don't know the difference between szekély and szikla. Can you give us an exemple of "csángó" dialect ? It seems interesting (at least for me). I'm currently learning Swiss-german, can understand it perfectly but have big problems to speak it. It is anywhere near that ? Kisfröccs 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

They have less consonants than literary Hungarian, for example dont have gy and ty. But have ly, with the original pronunciation that was lost in most of the other Hungarian dialects and in the literary Hungarian. They have much more vowels, have also diphtongs. Have the original Hungarian y vowel (same as i without the dot in Turkish). Other interesting characteristics: - have vowel harmony in the definite article, for low tonality words use a/az, and for high tonality e/ez, - no definite conjugation of verbs, - no conditional mood, - more than 1 past tense.
