Lots of contenders but I can't really see myself ever learning Maltese, Pashto or Yoruba.

Interesting idea for a thread. I would have to pick Finnish. Very
difficult, limited usefullness, and let's not forget the sixteen cases.

Seriously? Finnish is probably one of my favorite languages. Sounds beautiful and the
grammar is fascinating.
On topic, I would probably like to unlearn English, as it doesn't deserve its role as
lingua franca.

A lot of people don't want to learn Esperanto, which is fair enough. I feel I should defend it though, because it helped me establish good learning habits.

I started out learning Spanish, which was great, but I sometimes found it intimidating. Esperanto wasn't at all intimidating. It's a made-up language and the grammar is very easy, with the slight exception of the accusative case. So I took a break from learning Spanish for a couple of months and learned as much Esperanto as I could. That got me into a nice groove for tackling more difficult languages.

I have to say Arabic. While I love the writing system, I simply can not stand the sound of (any dialect) it. But since I was going to learn Hindi anyway, might as well learn Urdu!

Esperanto and other artificial languajes, I gust don't have any use for them.

I also dont feel any interest towards Slvic languages, Persian, or most African languages.
