If anyone wants an amazing explanation of pronouns and prepositions I can recommend Ed Swick's Pronouns and Prepositions.
Although the exercises and practice are more geared to an intermediate learner--I didn't know a lot of the vocabulary--there were huge explanations of each type of pronoun with many examples for their use. In the Prepositions part, he committed a third of the page or more to each word, explaining which case it took and under what circumstances. Does anyone know of any good places/people to follow on Facebook? One I follow is Racheshop, an online costume store. They frequently post jokes and cartoons that take me forever to figure out.
Today's joke from Racheshop: Das Telefon im Büro klingelt. Ein Angestellter hebt ab und fragt: "Welcher Idiot wagt es, mich in der Mittagspause anzurufen?" Da brüllt der Anrufer: "Wissen Sie eigentlich, mit wem Sie sprechen? Ich bin der Generaldirektor!" Der Angestellte erwidert: "Wissen Sie eigentlich, mit wem Sie sprechen?" Das ist schwierig zu schätzen wie gut mein Deutsch ist. Ich meine, dass ich B1jetzt bin. Ich kann B1 Tests bestehen aber oft habe ich Probleme mit B2. In zwei Jahren möchte ich fortgeschrittene Passivekenntnisse (C1/C2) und B2 Activekentnisse erreichen. Ich mochte beinahe alles verstehen wenn jemand spricht oder wenn ich etwas lese. Ich mochte auch meine Gespräche und Schreiben verbessern und weniger Fehler machen. My German is somewhere around B1 level. It's really hard to asses my level objectively so I may be wrong. But I don't have any significant problems with resolving B1 tests and often I fail or just scrape through B2 tests. So there's still quite a lot to do. My gaol for about next 2 years is to achieve quite high passive skills (C1/C2) and fairly good active skills (B2). It means I want to be able to read and listen to advance or native materials and be able to 'produce' some understandable emails or communicate via phone on most topics without any major grammatical errors that would cause misunderstandings. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

January challenge.
Ich denke, ich B2 Texte lesen kann, aber ich möchte fähig sein, zu verstehen, was in Filmen oder I'm Fernsehen gesagt wird. Im Moment ist es zu schwierig für mich. Ich sollte wirklich mehr Zeit darauf verwenden, Fernsehen zu schauen. Ein anderes Ziel für dieses Jahr ist, Bücher auf Deutsch zu lesen. Ich habe "die Wand" von der Österreichrinen Schriftstellerin Marlen Haushofer seit zweit Wochen begonnen, und es gefällt mir sehr. Ich habe bis dahin etwa 100 Seiten gelesen. Es ist nicht zu schwer zu vestehen, ich kann mehrere Wörter im Kontext erraten. Ich empfehle es ihnen. Es wird wahrscheinlich mir Lust geben, andere Bücher zu lesen, aber ehe ich andere Bücher lese , sollte ich erst den neuen Wortschatz lernen. Es ist der Schlüssel zu einem besseren Verständnis. Ich kann nicht verstehen, was ich nicht kenne. Sprechen wird danach kommen, hoffentlich. Das war leichten zu schreiben, als ich gedacht hatte! Corrections welcome ...
