When you need to talk to someone during sex, you're doing it wrong. |

I think you didn't get the joke here. |

Me either. What's the essence of the joke?

Well, if jokes have to be explained they're no longer funny, but here you go:
Just think of the exclamation: "Oh my God!" That's all I'm gonna say.

This gives the thread a whole new spin. Is a joke that's not funny still a joke?

I think so. Sometimes I'll tell a joke, and as I'm sure happens to everybody at some
point or another, the "audience" misses it entirely. It doesn't make it any less of a
joke, it just makes it a joke that wasn't funny in that particular instance. I think the
only instance in which a joke is deprived of its joke-hood is when the punchline doesn't
make any sense whatsoever, in any language!
Edit: I didn't get the joke immediately either. I said, "what?" immediately followed by
"OH!" followed by a sly chuckle :p

Ha ha, I think it would take quite a silly and pedantic atheist to personally refuse to
respond to a sneeze with "bless you". Like many phrases, it is just something one says in
a given situation and not to be taken literally, along with countless other phrases. Some
atheists will even say "God bless" as their parting words to someone, all because that is
what they were used to hearing being said when growing up.
As an atheist I say "bless you" without a second thought, though it sounds more like
"bleh shoe".

I replied to that joke and my comment was deleted. I wasn't sure, so I replied a second
time, and it was deleted again... and I can't even remember what I wrote.

No, it would take an atheist who is frequently faced with intolerance from religious
people who consider them low life scum that don't deserve to vote. Norway is not the US.
