We've had a version of this thread around holiday season for the last few years. Will it be a nerdy holiday for you this year? Whatever holiday you celebrate, it is surely more festive with a few new language-related presents!

As for me, I usually find my own language materials, but I am planning, one day, to have a holiday Language Tree, with ornamental letters, characters and words from the world's languages decorating the entire nerdy thing. Since these items don't exist and I'll have to make them myself, this will require some time!

So, what would you like this year? (it's OK to be a little greedy!)

I already know I'm geting a dutch assimil book due to my awesome future telling powers
(and maybe accidentaly seing it in my dads car might have helped...). otherwise I'd just
like some books in German and japanese as I seem to have hardly any that actually belong
to me :<

Otherwise yes I will spend alot of the holiday being a nerd as I live about half an hour
from any civilisation whatsoever.

I'm probably not getting anything, but I'm giving Assimil Italian with Ease to someone.
So it'll still be a very nerdy Christmas and a geeky New Year.

I'm probably all right on learning materials for my current language... but I'd always
take other books in my TL, or else movies and the like for practice.

The problem is I have a rather odd set of interests, so I'm sure it's difficult for
people to shop for me, and I hate asking for things or making lists... Well, I might get
myself something fun with the Christmas cash ;)

Popular Movies and Books in my target language. I recently watched Opera Jawa (Javanese) - not quite the target
language of Indonesian but gets pretty close sometimes.

I've got a new Android phone - so hopefully I'm going to deck that with a variety of
different applications as I've only used the iPhone before...I've also known I was
getting it for a couple of months too and its been so painful waiting to use it haha!

I got myself a sundial necklace (really cool; really geeky) and a starter French book since I decided I was going to study French in 2012. I've been flirting with the language for a long time, but I think we should finally go out on a date... ;)
