It doesn't have to be big or expensive for my eyes to light up. For example, my mum will be away this Christmas, so we did our present exchanging early this weekend. Amongst the pile of pressies was a transcript of a Mass said completely in Irish, just a simple handout that she brought back from her recent trip around Donegal - I was over the moon with this! :)

For now I have all that I can handle with my current target languages with this year's prize haul being the stuff in Northern Saami that I got in Sápmi this year.
However I would be kidding myself if I were to say that I had no wish-list for stuff in languages that I'd like to explore once I get over the "worst" of Northern Saami and Finnish which are taking the most of my time for studying. If anyone would still like to do a good deed in 2011 for a fossil like me, well there's still time! :-P

Yes. I'm looking at Turkic languages the moment I start tiring of Finno-Ugric ones. I've already begun gathering whatever Turkish material unzum has put on his site in addition to whatever he has found for kindred languages.

I want a board with markers and an eraser so I can practise my written Chinese and
English phonemic system!
