Here's an official Bienvenue à Team Français 2015!

I hope you have a great year and are able to find effective ways to work hard. I also suffer from concentration issues, and I find that switching to something else enables me to keep studying. So if I'm watching videos and start getting distracted, I try reading. Another thing that keeps me focused is studying while walking or biking. I use Pimsleur, FSI or an audiobook while I go for a 30-60 minute walk/ride, and I find the activity helps to keep me focused (more or less) on the audio.

Bonjour à tous,

Here is my update for the last week.

Total time spent 5h 15m
Duolingo 2h 5m
Memrise 3h 10m

The Memrise challenge is motivating me to keep adding new words to learn. I doubt I'll win the $1000, but I would like a t-shirt. Hope they have one in my size. :)

I've been making very slow progress with Duolingo. I'm at the Questions level but have trouble with the interrogative pronouns, adjectives and pronouns. There is only one thing to do: Practice, practice, practice!

I listened to Paris Chanson a lot. Music from the 30's, 40's and 50's.

Goals for the week
* Start one of my French textbooks. Most likely it will be The Ultimate French Review And Practice.
* Continue with L-R on the New Testament in French.
* Restart listening to Pimsleur lessons
* Restart listening to Imagier on YouTube.

À bientôt mes amies.

Thanks for the link, I think I'll be listening to it a lot too. Good luck this year!

I also had a heck of a lot of trouble with interrogatives on Duolingo. What I ended up doing was making paper flashcards for them as they came up on Duolingo, and flipping few them a from time to time for a few days. It helped a lot.

What version of the French NT are you using? And is the audio free?

And thanks for the link to Paris Chanson. I'm listening to it right now!

I'm using the 2000 Parole de Vie Parole de Vie. The audio is free and available for download from the site. Other versions, including the 1910 Louis Segond, are available.

Not that I know much about French Bibles, but I'd never heard of Parole de Vie. I find it interesting that they have a version for Canada and a version for Africa. But no version for France?

You can read and listen to Segond 21 (a newer version of Louis Segond) here: http://www.universdelabible.net/lire-la-segond-21-en-ligne. Unfortunately, you can't download the audio.

Hello @tomgosse I just noticed you were inspired by me. Thanks, but I hope you find other
inspiration going forward because I am exceptionally lazy! ;-)

I'll check out the Paris CHanson link tonight, thanks for the heads up.
