Description of what is on the sound file:
The file is opening versesof the poem Pan Tadeusz of the Lithuanian poet Adam Mickiewicz(who wrote in Polish). Adam Mickiewicz was born in Naugardukas, Lithuania(now Nawahrudak, Belarus). He lived in Vilnius, Kaunas. In 1824 he was banished to Russia by the Russian government from where he escaped to France in 1929. The pooem Pan Tadeusz is writen in 1832. It describes the life of Lithuanian petty nobility.
