El astronauta Noguchi pasea en torno a la Estación Espacial

La NASA decidió anoche prolongar un día la misión del transbordador Discovery en la Estación Espacial Internacional, lo que supone que los astronautas regresarán a la Tierra el 8 de agosto. Con ese día extra, la tripulación podrá dejar mejor preparada la base orbital para la llegada de otra nave. Dos de los astronautas, el estadounidense Stephen Robinson y el japonés Soichi Noguchi, dedicaron su paseo espacial de ayer a ensayar nuevos equipos para hacer reparaciones.

NASA decided yesterday to prolong in one day the mission of the Discovery Space Shuttle at the International Space Station, which means that the astronauts shall come back to the Earth on the 8th of August. With that extra day, the crew shall be able to leave the orbital base better prepared for the arrival of another ship.
