The person of extraordinary abilities and enormous knowledge, the great polyglot (he knew almost 60 languages and all Ukrainian dialects) was the first and most outstanding Ukrainian orientalist. The poet and the prose writer, the philologist and the specialist in folklore, the critic and the literary critic who has published thousand articles and researches, has issued some textbooks. And today the Ethiopians learn their language under his books.
It is difficult to overestimate A.Krymsky’s contribution to development of the native science. Being one of the founders of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, he carried out the hugest organizing work.
The knowledge of languages has helped A.Krymsky with his work and scientific researches in area of Arab, Semite, Turki and Iran logical science. By the way, A.Krymsky deeply investigated national character of peoples about which he wrote. In the book «The Moslem and its Future» the present reasons of terrorism are looked through, it is told about possible consequences of religious fatalistic stagnation and fanatical hatred to all another’s, not Muslim.
A.Krymsky was lost in 1942. Nobody paid enough attention to his works at his life, but his time still will come!
