Frankly speaking, if you really want to learn Occitan, I would recommend learning Catalan as well as you can for they are extremely close, and Catalan is the healthiest minority language in Europe with many more resources.

That's pretty damn right !!!
Catalan and occitan are 90% the same language so, since learning "live catalan" is pretty easy (you just need to go to Barcelona ar get a big chunk of audio material from internet) you may as well do that, it will give you a very good basis for occitan..

P.S. You should now be able to download "Lo Gascon lèu e plan" from my Old Good Stuff site: http://peyre.x10.mx/OldGoodStuff/index.htm
The direct download link should be http://peyre.x10.mx/OldGoodStuff/LoGasconLeuEPlan.zip.

Many thanks for making this book available. It says that there's a cassette; do you by any chance have it? (It would be wonderful for potential learners to be able to hear it.)

Yes, there are two of them in fact. They're included (as MP3s) in the download, part of why the download is so big.

Peyre, you're right; I just downloaded it again and found the audio as well; I'm not sure what happened that I missed it the first time around, but this makes your sharing the materials all the more useful to potential learners. Many, many thanks for making this valuable set available!

My pleasure, daristani. I'm glad to get it to someone who can use it, and do what little I can to help keep this little language alive.
