I don't see how that is relevant to this forum. Only about 1/5 of all muslims the have
some kind of arabic dialect as their native tongue, and not all (albeit a majority) of
the arabs are muslims.

And there are about 680 millions in Europe that is not muslims, and about 420 millions
that speak some kind of arabic. So if all of them moved to europe, there would still
be a great majority that where not muslims.

So your (joke?) is flawed in so many ways.

There is no need to get all defensive. I didn't say that an eventual Muslim majority is
necessarily a bad thing. It's just something that is inevitable, based on current Western
birth rate, Muslim birth rate, and the number of newcomers. It's a matter of time, not
debate.

While it's true that Muslims come from all sorts of language backgrounds, Arabic is the
binding and heritage language, just like Sanskrit was for Indians (even for south-Indians),
or as Latin was to Europe. Knowing Arabic in a Muslim-majority Europe can't be a bad thing.

I think it is wrong to define groups of people in terms of their religion or of the
majority religion in the place where they come from. Also many immigrants to Europe come
here because they are opposed to Islam or at least to the type of Islam dominating their
homeplace, and many are not religious at all.

Sure, whatever. We'll leave it at that, as facts seem to make you uncomfortable.

cod2: Made up demographic nonsense propagated by fear mongers and bigots hardly qualifies as a fact.

If current trends continued for centuries, sure, maybe Western Europe might become a muslim-majority
territory, but the only thing more laughable than that is the idea that somehow the Muslim population of
Western European countries is going to increase by more than 20 fold in the next few decades.

In short, there are lots of great reasons to learn Arabic, but that was gibberish.

edit: I can't get over how ridiculous this is, do you people really think the population of Muslims is going to
double every two years, when it's currently going up by around 1% per decade? Who makes up this garbage
and why do you listen to it? Agh!

It was probably naive to think that this topic could be discussed without leading to an acrimonious discussion with clear political and religious overtones.
