I also find that in conversation in an L2, a hole in my vocabulary will suddenly arise -
I do not know a particular word. So I make a note to look it up. The next time I have an opportunity to talk in the L2 I make a point of using the word, in an attempt to fasten it into my memory. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

When I was learning Spanish, initially it was very difficult to remember the verbs and
adjectives and when to use what. So I started making flashcards for every new word that I learned and by using Leitner's system, I was able to remember them. If you're still in the early stages of learning a language, I'll suggest you go over to Cram.com where they have flashcards for every language. I found their audio feature very helpful to understand the pronunciation. 1 person has voted this message useful |
