Since September I have foolishly added Turkish to my already long list of
languages. It's been really refreshing to study a language completely
unrelated to any I've done before. I've no intention of taking up your
Turkic challenge, Chung, but I shall follow this thread and the various
logs with great interest.

I indeed know that feeling of diving into a language that's very divergent from anything that I've studied before.

As for the logs' content related to the Turkic challenge, I'm not sure how that'll be. I hope that some interesting posts come up.

I still haven't actually started, probably Monday. I did two lessons from Le Turc Tout de Suite and they were thrilling, to say the least. What an interesting language, and I believe its cousins won't be much different.

Just posting to double-check if it is alright for me to be hanging around here with you guys
even though I am only going to study Turkish. But this journey you are partaking in is so
fascinating, I was planning to read this log even before I found out you opened up even for
