Let me just name the appropriate versions:

Вчера я пошёл/сходил/ходил в театр с Анной.

All 3 appropriate, but пошёл means start of action and implies that you continue the
story: вчера я пошёл с Анной в театр, заходим в зал, а там кино идёт. :)

Если вы уходите/уйдёте/будете уходить последним, выключайте свет!

если вы уйдёте = you already are gone and far from the switch :)

Когда Мария подходила к работе, она увидела свою подругу.

пришла к работе = weird. correct is пришла на работу (came to work(place)). To say that
she came up to the office you can use пришла/подошла к офису.
