Hello,
I'm starting to learn Mandarin with Assimil (currently pp lesson 38) and I find the list of your resources very
interesting. If you had to do it again, what resources would you use and in which order ?

I find the French resources to be the best ones. I'd go for Assimil, then Langues pour tous, then Méthode 90, then perhaps Asiathèque and so I'd try to pick some of the Routledge grammars which are also quite good.

I've been following Outcast's log, and he seemed to do well with "The new practical chinese reader" series and "Basic/Intermediate Spoken Chinese" series of books.
In the message 154 he explains the pros and cons of each book, for him.
Edit: Ah, I've just noticed that Expugnator also followed it...sorry.

Thanks to you both. I went to my bookshop this morning to buy "langues pour tous". There is much more in
this little book than meets the eyes.
