I've worked my way through Pimsleur Japanese I without too much difficulty (by which I
mean that I felt I always knew what was being said at the time, not that I've retained
100% of it :-)).

I'm now up to Unit 21 in Japanese II and I have a few issues.

Sometimes I'm just not 100% sure of the pronunciation. Sometimes I'd like to go back
and find an expression that I've forgotten from a few units ago.

A transcript would be very useful for this. I've found one for Japanese I but all I can
find for Japanese II and Japanese III are messages in which people are asking for a
transcript.

Can anyone point me at transcripts?

Thanks

When I was starting out, I thought that transcripts would be helpful too and scoured the
internet for the elusive II and III. They apparently never got done.

In retrospect, having finished all of Pimsleur and started working on other Japanese
resources I'm glad I didn't rely on the transcripts. (I also did have transcripts for
Russian and German that I dabbled with--and eventually regretted time I felt was "wasted"
on the transcripts).

To me Pimsleur is all about the audio. I will always start a language with Pimsleur,
since I feel it is like "learning like a baby" to get used to hearing and using it before
I start reading.

I've been using the transcript for Japanese 1, and can't imagine making it through the
course without it. I don't use is it regularly, but there are plenty of times where I
just can't make out what the speaker is saying. It's nice to take a couple minutes at
the end of the day to read the tx.

I'm still holding out hope for finding ones for Japanese 2 and 3!

In a similar vein, here's an old post from Nway that has all the
Michel Thomas Foundation verbs.

I have a transcript for Japanese I as well (probably the same one the rest of you found), but unfortunately it seems to be based on an earlier edition than the Pimsleur Japanese I bought, so it isn't *quite* the same. It's still useful, but some for some words and phrases I have had to figure out the kana spelling via other means.

One thing that seemed to help when I was going through Pimsleur Korean is that often the entries found in phrase books for similar phrases tend to match up with those from Pimsleur (if not exactly then usually close but with a different verb ending). (My experience was based on the Lonely Planet phrase books for what that is worth.)
