I followed that link, and the text on my screen is half Esperanto, half Catalan. That's a pleasant surprise:

Flandra Esperanto-LigoPàgina d'inici | Galeria | Blog | Afegir a la meva xarxa | Enviar un missatge | Perfil
ExplorarDestacats | Etiquetes populars | El mapa del món | Cercar
AjudaAjuda | Contacta'ns / Avisa d'un error | Carta dels membres | La teva privacitat | Condicions Generals d'Ús
ipernity © 2007-2012Notícies | Sobre ipernity | Feines | Gràcies | ipernity mòbil

I don't even remember having visited that site before, and right now I'm sitting at my office where all computers are set to Danish, so I simply don't understand how some people in Flandern can guess that I like both Esperanto and Catalan!

It opened in English in my Firefox, though I have Portuguese, Italian, German, Polish, Spanish and even Dutch listed with a higher priority than English.

This is Ipernity's doing. Ipernity is a social network for sharing documents, art and
music, it's not limited to Esperanto or Flandern. The Flandra Esperanto Asocio is just
one user.

There is an interesting blog article written by Chuck Smith about why people may want to learn Esperanto:

Chuck Smith: The average Esperanto speaker

Enjoy!

Thank you Fasulye.
I am slightly weird-ed out that all four categories apply to me. Based on that article, it
looks as though I should have started studying Esperanto years ago.

As I've spent more time reading forums and language blogs, I find myself more and more
intrigued by Esperanto! I think that I would really like to learn in someday. Not yet -
I'm busy enough for now - but maybe next year, when I start Tagalog, I'll set aside a bit
of time for Esperanto.
