Sorry to pollute your log with off-topic messages, but I was trying to send you a PM, and it said that your inbox is full.

Oh that's not polluting:) But it's weird, I had only 72 in my inbox. Deleted some more now.
If this still doesn't work, my email is serpentti at суоми24 точка фи :)

While I'm at it I'd like to share some good news. I'm extremely motivated for Danish, thanks to all the recent talk in the forum. Especially thanks to Monty :) Which in turn makes me more motivated for German, thanks to Julie ♥
Coming soon: an embarrassing update about the money spent on Super Challenge stuff:D

Obrigada :) Yes, I love it! I support several teams but if I have to choose one it'll be them.

Updating my list :) About to place another order within a few days...

Polish:
1. HP 3 - 35 złoty
2. a Warsaw guidebook for football fans - about 20 złoty
3. a book about football - 27 złoty
+two football phrasebooks that don't really count
total: 82 złoty, ie about 20 €.

German:
1. Johanna Sinisalo - Troll - 14.5 €
2. Moomins - 22 € (huge disappointment! This is just a comic book, will count as a half-book at most)
3. Remarque - Drei Kameraden - 480 roubles (for uni so I'd buy it regardless of the SC)
4. Patrick Süskind - Das Parfum - 638 roubles (I'VE WANTED TO READ IT IN German FOR LIKE FOREVER)
Total: 64.3 € (36.5 € + 1118 roubles/27.8 €)

Portuguese:
1. Paulo Coelho - O Alquimista - 14.9 €
2. Paulo Coelho - O Diário de um Mago - 14.9 €
3. Dan Brown - O Código da Vinci - 16.9 €
4. Jorge Amado - Capitães da areia - 69 roubles ie in between 2 $ and 2 € (published in Russia)
a cancelled order: HP 5, LOTR 3. about 20€ each plus 16 EUROS motherf**king shipping=54 €. Nope, not cancelled by me. IDK why it got cancelled:( Still looking to buy especially HP 5 to complete my collection)
total: about 48 €

Belarusian:
1. Shamiakin - collected works - 17.000 BYR
2. Bychkouski - Anamalia (a fantasy story) - 39.000 BYR
3. Zarecki - 27.000 BYR
total: about 82.000 BYR, ie about 8€, which is a more significant sum in Belarus than in Europe obviously

Italian:
1. Machiavelli - Il Principe - 80 roubles (published in Russia)
2. Amor di Roma short stories about Rome - 600 roubles
3. Che storia! about the history of Italy - 720 roubles

I found this in marco.of.europa's log and just had to share:

Today I was waiting at a bus stop. I saw a mother and her young daughter (about 4 years old) walking along the footpath. Beyond the footpath was a football pitch covered with frost. On the pitch blackbirds hopped about. The girl exclaimed in an excited high pitched squeal "Look at the birds doing ten-niece!" and then happily skipped on. The incident reminded me of my own efforts to learn a language; of attempting to learn correct pronunciation (tennis), vocabulary (football rather than tennis) and verb choice ('playing' rather than 'doing'). It also reminded me that mistakes and imperfection are a natural part of language learning. I tend to become frustrated and disheartened when I make little mistakes. Perhaps I could learn a lot from that little girl's relaxed carefree attitude and just allow myself to freely communicate in the language without worrying about little mistakes which can and will be remedied in time.

My orders from the UK and Italy have arrived, will update the list after I visit the post office tomorrow:)

Also, very excited about my Belarusian 6WC:) Found a great source of movies in Belarusian. It's a torrent site so I'll just say the word баравік.
