Maybe this is because Assimil is aimed at beginners and complex conjunctions is not something you would make them learn right away. :)

Well, I respectfully disagree. This book is full of complex conversations and it's nothing like the "5 lines of childish dialog per lesson" crap assimil launches nowadays. Maybe it's one of their best courses, I have never felt so challenged. I have to revise constantly, because there's so much information per lesson. My only complaint is that they rely too much on "natural assimilation" sometimes.

But that's kinda the point of Assimil. If you don't like it, for most languages there are other materials, and of course there's also the option of supplementing it with a grammar book. 1 person has voted this message useful |
