I'm sorry for typing the ''usual'' way, but what are you guys doing here?
I'm a bit curious. I noticed some letters from the Icelandic alphabet and a few other foreign ones. I also read what seemed to be some words that are supposed to sound like their English counterparts.

Could somebody explain to me, what you guys are doing?

Thanks in advance.

The International Phonetic Alphabet is abbreviated IPA. It is a way of representing language sounds in a standardized written format IPA

Remster, in an English dictionary you can look up the IPA-transcriptions of the words.

Then go to a website where you can type IPA - symbols and write for example a text in English IPA in this thread. It's really possible to communicate in IPA!

Please have a look at this website to type English IPA:

Good luck!
