I have a question:

I've read about LR and he mentions step 1 and 2 aren't necessary, but isn't step 2 useful exposure to the reading part of the language and more listening exposure?
Or should I work on natural listening first, then on reading comprehension?

Thanks

This is method seem very interessting and promising but we seem to be missing a lot of information about how to use it properly. I guest the best way to make it work it's to follow the exact method describe without making any changes but I find it quiet difficult to evaluate when you reach a natural-listening level. The same apply to the number of hours you need to be exposed to reach that level. I think it will depend on your target language difficulty, the quality of the narration and litterature and maybe, the difficulty of the litterature.

Also, I found difficult to retrieve good supports. For exemple, I download a Biblingual text (English-Russian) for The Hobbit. I also found an audiobook in russian of it but the audio doesn't match the russian version fo the text. The same apply to Dracula. Now, I have found a good audiobook and text that match for Lord of the ring (first tome) but It's not a Biblingual text. I only have the russian version of the text. Sure, I can find a English or even a french version (french will be better since i'm native) of the text but I am not sure of the efficiency of this method if I don't use a billingual/parallel text.

I know there's a lot of post on this forum about that technique but I find them uncomplet and unclear. I hope we will be able to, one day, make a clear definition of the theory and how to use it.
