you are so brave to study georgian. I love to hear it spoken, it's so much fun to listen to, but i get caught up even trying to say hello. :D. Good luck through all your studies!

My flu is much better so it's finally time to write a reply! პირველად რომ ჩამოვედი იაპონიში ჩემთვის ყველაფერი ახალი და უცნაური იყო! ჩამოვედი შუა ზაფხულში და ძალიან ცხელი და ნესტიანი იყო. თავიდან სამზარეულიც განსხვავებული იყო მაგრამ ეხლა ვფიკრომ რომ იაპონური სამზარეული ძალიან გემრიელია. ტოკიოს ამინდი ზამთარზე არ არის საინტერესო. ყოველდღე მზიანია და ასე ცივი არ არის. როდემდე მალტაზე ხარ? 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

დღეს ქართულს ვსწავლობდი სკოლაში. მასწავლებელი იაპონელია, მაგრამ ძალიან კარგად ლაპარაკობს ქართულად. სტუდენტებიც ჩემ გარდა იაპონელი არიან და ძალიან კარგი ხალხია.

Thanks very much for your encouragement ellasevia. To be honest though I'm not really progressing all that quickly - I'm just pushing the limits of my minimal knowledge as far as they will go in my conversations with Marich27.
It has always seemed to me that foreign languages can be categorized as those which start easy and get progressively harder, and those that are difficult at first and become easier and easier. I think French falls into the former category and Russian into the latter, for example. Georgian also seems to belong to the former category. Basic present tense sentences are not difficult to form at all, and the alphabet is very easy to learn. There are seven cases, but nouns, pronouns, and adjectives don't change anywhere near as drastically as in Russian and Polish. However, I've read ahead in some of my textbooks and it seems I have huge difficulties ahead of me with past tenses, modal verbs, verbal nouns, and participles. ტოკიოს აქვს ორი ქართული რესტორანი და ცამეტ მარტში ქართულის გაკვეთილის სტუდენტებთან ერთად წავალ რესტორანში "გაუმარჯოს". როცა რუსეთში ვცხოვრობდი ხანდახან წავედი ქართულ რესტორანში და ვფიკრობ რომ ქართული სამზარეულო ძალიან გემრიელია. განსაკუთრებით მომწონს ხაჭაპური და ხარჭო. მაწონის სუპიც მინდა შევჭამო. როგორი ქართული სამზარეულო გუყვარს? ვფიკრობ რომ ჰოლანდიური სამზარეულო იქნებ არ არის ასე გემრიელი, არა?
