мужать/возмужать - to grow up, to grow stronger. - Russian

It may be worth noting that лекарство also means medicine in Russian.

LanguageSponge, I suspect возмужать means "to grow to manhood" so it probably doesn't apply to women or to inanimate objects.

птица - bird (Bulgarian)

(I like this word, especially in this form: птиците - the birds)

"Район" can also mean district на Български; It can also be used informally, sort of like "near by" is used in English. E.g. "Има ли банкомат в района?" (Is there a cash-machine near by?)

сюрприз - surprise; surprise gift, Russian

Тирасполь = the 'capital' of Приднестровье (the selfdeclared Transdnistrian Republic), which is heavily Russian influenced and uses the Cyrillic alphabet, whereas in the rest of Moldova (except Gagauzia) the language for all practical purposes is the same as Romanian. It is worth noticing that during the Sovjet period the Cyrillic alphabet was used even in 'main' Moldova, but since the independence in 1991 Moldovan is again written with Latin letters.
