Bonjour :-)

Yesterday I was watching France 24, which is a channel broadcast on my tv, when I saw a
writing title written beneath the journalist talking.
There was written:Président de la Syrie:" Je serai...."

Now, if my knowledge haven't been lost, that verb is "be", right?
Then, it may be:
"Je serais"---> I will be/I am going to be
"Je serais"---> I would be

So, what is "je serai"?What does it mean?

Please, may you correct my aforewritten post in french?

It's the verb "être" (be), yes.

But, "je serais" can't be "I will be". We write it "je serai" (I will be).
"Je serais" can only be "I would be".

I have corrected your previous post, it's just above your last post. But I think I've corrected it too fast, I've only corrected the spelling. You could rephrase it that way:

"je n'ai pas étudié à l'école", is correct, but I think in this case, we would more naturally say "je n'étais pas très sérieux à l'école" (I was not very serious at school).

I don't think your french is horrible ;-) When you write I can understand very well what you mean. You just need to practice to have a more natural prose.
