I think this site was created so that I'd jump up and down and make lots of happy noises.
SensCritique is sort of like goodreads, except that it's in French, and it also includes movies, TV series and bandes dessinées. Let's begin with the page for Avatar, le dernier maître de l'air. Here you see: - A summary of the series. - 48 reviews by users, nearly all of whom can actually write correct, intelligent French. (A true Internet miracle.) - A little box where you can post your own review. - A section "Those who loved this series also loved" with lots of recommendations. - User-created lists which include this series (just like on Amazon). - Links to three online stores. I think you're getting the idea. :-) This is an incredibly powerful recommendation engine with tons of users and a massive database of French media. If you log in (using Facebook, Twitter, or a regular account), you can build your own library, follow other users, and get more personalized recommendations.

I like to have a look at Allo Cine for reviews of films, TV series, DVD releases. The site provides links to reviews from press and you can read user reviews as well. 2 persons have voted this message useful |
