Nobody for Esperanto this time? Esperanto or Toki Pona are the perfect languages for this
challenge because you can "finish" studying them in 6 weeks and don't necessarily need to
worry about following up.

Sprachprofi, Esperanto is on my list and I seriously considered it for the challenge but it would't be right to not choose German or Spanish considering how much they both need my attention. Next time, it's going to be Esperanto :-)
A bit out of topic: When this 6wc is over, it will be the right time to sigh up for TAC 2012, won't it? I've read a bit (actually quite a lot) about the challenge and plan to join but I have some questions about the rules. How is progress "measured" and winner chosen? Just by all members of the group keeping to it till the end and with impressive progress on logs? And as you can choose more languages for the year, is one considered main language or it doesn't matter?
I think it would be great continuing of the 6wc for me.

Russian again or Dutch or Italian or Chinese or Arabic or Polish or Estonian or Greek (ancient or modern) or Latin ... those are all serious candidates but I must decide on which one motivates me the most. Right now it feels like Dutch (beginner) or Italian (A2?).

Italian it is. I boldly aim for 120 hours.

It starts at midnight on whatever your own time zone is. It's on an honor system and assumes that people won't lie about when they start and finish. (Which is quite unfortunate because I've had plenty of free time today and did a fair amount of study, none of which I can count because I still have over two hours until midnight here. Ugh.)

Does the bot recognise #Suomea as #Finnish? If yes, how much time does it take for it to add a score?
edit: is it possible to be part of two teams at the same time? If no, how do I change my team?
second edit:
the bot has posted
The 6 Week Challenge has started! Good luck to all participants!
one minute ago, but its almost lunch in my timezone. Why so?

No, only #Suomi or #Finnish or #fi.

The bot checks for new tweets every 5 minutes, so if nothing happens within that time,
or if you see the bot updating other people's scores, your tweet didn't go through.

There are no teams for the 6 Week Challenge, are you thinking of the TAC?

Because I was asleep or not on the computer until now. Still, the bot has accepted
submissions starting midnight Asian time.
